Prerequisites
Program
Minimum training content, in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations for the transport of dangerous goods (Paragraph 1.5 - 66th edition in force from January 1 to December 31, 2025), IATA " Dangerous Goods Training Guidance " Edition 1 & International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 18 directive.
Understanding the basic principles of dangerous goods:
- Determining the applicability of dangerous goods
- Understand general restrictions
- Identify roles and responsibilities
- Understand the critical importance of classification and packaging
- Interpret hazard communication
- Become familiar with basic emergency procedures
Freight processing and acceptance:
- Examine documentation
- Examine package(s)
- Follow acceptance procedures
Freight pre-loading management:
- Plan loading
- Issue a NOTOC
Safety data collection:
- Reporting dangerous goods accidents
- Report dangerous goods incidents
- Report undeclared or misdeclared dangerous goods
- Report situations involving dangerous goods
